Unexpected Ensemble began their work in a residency at Anholt island, Denmark in May 2022 resulting in several installations and performances at the ANTENN Sound Art Festival in Gnesta, Sweden, August 2022. The artistic work entitled Sounding Towers centered on the resonances of two unique landmark buildings, the Anholt lighthouse and the Gnesta water tower. The element of water being self-evidently present. This pilot project was supported by Aarhus Kulturudviklingspulje and Nordic Culture Point and Nordic Culture Fund.
